Cabbage

Cabbage crops are grown in coastal areas on the East coast of the South Island. Nursery grown transplants are planted from February to March to produce sizeable plants for the winter. Cooler winter temperatures provide good vernalisation, while the warm summer temperatures allow for pollination and seed maturity.

Our specialized Agronomists manage the productions in the selected areas with our most experienced and equipped growers. South Pacific Seeds NZ Ltd provides the expertise, specialised equipment and manpower that make these crops a success.
